Just found the site and looked fun, have a question for the crowd.
Are there any avid BBQ Smokers out there?
Have you thought of a BBQ Area?
I'm a 61+,Retired/Disabled , crazy about smoked foods , devotee. I'm thinking of building, what I will call, a Q-Bana(get it,like a Cabana)?
Oh, well, I want a place for my hobby and to claim as MY zone!!!
I already have some room in the garage, but there's so much crowded in there it's hard to make sense of it;and a 30 min. job getting my equip. out and ready.
I had thought of adding to my garage(side , as a lean-to type of roof and chair-rail height sides with drop down side for weather...). I will have a cement floor and cold water hook-up, plus grounded elect. outlets.
Any ideas or pics would be great.

Welcome aboard! You've found the right place for avid grillers (and drinkers , etc.) and those enjoying the Man Cave way of life! I do smoking myself and love it. A little cold right now, but once it warms up, look out! I'll leave the advice to all the members. I'm sure you will get some great ideas.

One more tuned to enjoyment yearround
My proposed plan is to pour a cement pad over a 20'X40' area,then erect a cover and half walls. I'LL fabricate wind breaks to let down when necessary.This way I will have a permanent place for my Smoker and Equipment...





I enjoy cooking all year long and this Snow stuff we're getting is putting a crimp in my style...






Anyhow , a nice season adaptable "Q-bana" would be so nice...

Old School, I have a tech with a toolbox about as big. It has it's own address and zip code because of the size. Dang dood, that thing is huge!
