Working on my man cave as we speak, just got started. The bar is really driving me nuts on what to do. I'm really a sports bar type of guy and will be throwing up 3 TVs on one of the walls. The best place for the BAR in the opposite of this. Love the idea of a bar with a back bar and a front bar to sit at but it sure takes up a lot of room. But then again I dont want just a walk up bar for show, want this to be a place you could sit and hang out too. Im probably lame and like idea of Mirrors and shelves for my liquor. Kind of want a wet bar with a sink. Just am going in circles here.

Been looking at a lot of pictures on the web but still not set on something. Have a good handiman who helps me build stuff but not sure he can build me a bar without some guidance. www.homeandcompany.com has some decent stuff but certainly is a touch pricey.

Any guidance or threads that help people come up with decisions on what to do with their bar would be appreciated.

Building you own is satisfying for sure but chasing designs will drive you nuts. Just when you think you made the best choice on a design, build it and tap your first keg..... you see something cheaper and nicer and you want to kick yourself.

I looked at the link you attached, I didn't see any prices, maybe I wasn't looking in the right place but you may want to try this outfit........ the prices seem reasonable to me.

I have purchased several of my bar items from them. My bar, since it a NASCAR theme room, I simply used a Craftsman Workbench and it's a functional walk up bar, kegerator on one side and a compact fridge on the other. The down side to that is no place to sit like a back bar design.... but it works in my cave.

Go with your gut and don't look back...

Here is a site that has possibilities. Lots of good ideas for bars, big and small. Good luck and don't forget to post pictures of the building process. Also pass on things to look out for in the process. Enjoy it.
