Help with my cave Empty Help with my cave

Post  hippyman Mon Nov 16, 2009 10:56 pm

I have been offered a budwieser clock for my cave, free of charge, the only catch is, one peice of it is broken. Does anyone know of any website that sells clock parts, or anything of the sort? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Take a look around - or do a search for - a custom woodworking tools/supply store in your area. Many of them carry clock parts and kits for building clocks.

The clock obviously wasn't made by A/B so is there a manufacturer name on it anywhere? Maybe on the bottom or back? That's where I'd start depending on the part that is broken...

I just got the motor back from my local jewelers, and he said it had been discontinued, so I thought I'd try the internet. Do any of these http://www.ofrei.com/page_14.html look like the same motor in the pic?

Hey, just thought I'd let u know, I got the clock hung, the motors still not working, but it sure looks cool as hell Cool Anyway, my cave is coming along very nicely, I had to get it re-sided, which took a couple of months, and now, someone from the local VFW, gave me a budwieser zeppelin. I'll post a pic of it, once I figure out where in the hell I'm gonna put it.(the damn thing is 6 feet long, for crying out loud!!!) Plus, I was hoping someone could help me with something else, I have a space in my den, where a window AC unit used to be, so I'm thinking of putting a mirror up there. The problem is, the dimensions arent exactly normal, 26.5x18.5 inches. So far, none of the mirrors I've found, will fit that. Anyone know any websites that I could look on?

Hey, hippyman. Sorry to hear that the clock isn't working; but it's good to hear that it looks really cool. You should definitely pat yourself on the back for all of the extra effort. As for the Budweiser Zeppelin -- I would recommend hanging it on the ceiling if the ceiling is high enough and if the zeppelin is light enough to be hung. I haven't seen one of those things for years, so it will definitely be a unique fixture in your man cave. Post some pictures of the man cave when you get the chance. I'm sure we would all love to see it!

Hey, thanx for the reply. I think I might have found what I need, theres only one problem, I dont know the exact serial number. According to this site http://norkro.com/index_files/page0008.htm the motor is probably an XL7, but I'm not sure. Can anyone verify, before I waste my money?
