Northeast Arkansas Outdoorsman Man Cave...new member
Awesome. Found the Man Cave Book on iBooks last night and had to hit this site up as a result. The pictures posted below are my 2008ish-2011 man cave. I bought a new house and had the builder leave the carpet out of one bedroom. This way I could do whatever I want. Well we moved out last week into a larger house and now in spite of the space I don't have a new cave....yet...
The plan is to use the space over the garage. It ought to be awesome. Entry will be via a set of custom pull down attic stairs that will be widened and lengthened so that they are more stable and descend at a more shallow angle. This will allow my cave to be completely hidden in what once was the attic. The roof line is ridiculous. I could have cathedral ceilings in part of the cave without much effort at all. I plan to wall in about 300-400 sq. ft. of the attic and then insulate/power/heat and cool it all. From there, all the gear you see in the pictures below will be able to go in the cave. Except with more space. Hopefully I will get in a bar and TV area. I'd also like to put the guns in a separate area behind firewall, a steel door, deadbolts and a push button electronic lock.
Thanks for this community! Here's my cave from the previous house (these are actually pretty early on, I managed to get it much more organized...thought I had newer pics but I guess not):
