Garage Door Murals Empty Garage Door Murals

Post  Vito Wed Jul 21, 2010 6:00 am

Hi Fellow Cavers!
I need some help deciding what to do with the inside of my 16ft garage door. I would like to have some kind of a mural or artwork placed on it. My garage is 24x24 and it has 2 muscle cars in it. I originally thought that I might like to have a picture of a Detroit Car Dealership with muscle cars for sale so it would kind of look like it was a 3 dimensional room but I can't find anything that covers the entire door. I also want to be careful not to get anything too dark that would take away from the brightness.

Any suggestions? I checked out one site yesterday that had murals for the outside of the door affixed with velcro which looks like it could work, but I need to remember that the inside of the door has the hinges too. Check out www.style-your-garage.com to see what I'm talking about.

Thanks in advance for all of your suggestions!!!!

Vito,

Did you get a chance to see the previous posting of wall decals.

Maybe this is something to consider.

Cave On!

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the reply. I did check out those and although they're very cool, I need something that would cover the entire 16' garage door. I like the ones on the site that I referenced but wondered if there were any others, aside from the prior link.

I'll let you know if I find out anything...

Thanks for all of your efforts!!!
Vito

P.S. I should have some updated pictures of my "cave" soon!!!

If you have a good printer and plenty of ink or a "tank kit" where the ink comes in large cans to feed the printer. Then with the right software you could blow up to wall size
any photo you have and make a near bill board poster of it.

What about just something simple, yet manly. Like painting a brick wall or something of that nature?

Garage Door Murals Empty could have a local artist come in and do a mural

Try looking or posting in craigs list for a local artist to do it. I have done 4x8 murals on canvas but cant go bigger than that ( my studio space is to small).
