MAN CAVE BOOK!

Hello Cave Dwellers!

I'm not very good a keeping secrets, so I'm glad I can get this off my chest.

We've been approached and approved for a Man Cave Book Deal!

The book at this time is still in the infancy stage, but should be a 192 page paperback. We have a great writer out of New York City and the book is being published by a big name publisher (Harper Collins).

The book will primarily focus on YOUR man caves. Having said that, the publisher or myself may be contacting you for Hi-Res photos (300 dpi or better) of your cave. For those of you that don't have copies of Hi-Res photos, I'd suggest you get some taken. Keep in mind that the more light the better when taking the pictures. The book can't use dark pictures. Even if you aren't selected for the book, I'm always asked for Hi-Res photos for other projects (like Magazines and TV). It's just a good idea to have them on hand if your interested in showcasing your cave.

I've been promised by the senior editor that everyone who has a cave displayed in the book will get a free copy of the book.

So spread the word to anyone you know that has a cave and have them send in pictures to me ASAP (mancave@mancavesite.org)!

UPDATE: Received the revised book contract today. Not much changed, just the titles of who is doing what.

If you are interested in having your Man Cave in the book, make sure you get high resolution pictures taken NOW! The more light the better. The book can't use dark pictures.

Once the Caves are selected for the book I will be getting in contact with you. There will be a lot of caves displayed in the book, so you have a really good chance of making the cut!

Book UPDATE: Well the author signed his contract so it looks like we are ready to Rock and Roll!

All of us are scheduled to meet up this week sometime to get things started. So, If you haven't sent in pictures of your cave (they don't have to be hi-res yet), please do so. I'll be sending in all the cave photos I have for possible submission into the book.
