Holiday Message from the Founder

From all of us here at The Official Man Cave Site (ManCaveSite.org), we want you wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a great holiday season! It’s been a wonderful year with many milestones and challenges. We began the year with our book being released (The Man Cave Book) which wouldn’t have been possible with the help of Jeff Wilser (Co-Author) and our publisher Harper Collins. The overall response to the book has been fantastic. For those who have a copy, we hope you really enjoyed it. We reached milestone of over 300 members, over 300 Man Caves displayed and now have over 1200 website visitors from 118 Countries/Territories a day. We’ve taken our passion for Man Caves out on the road with our Man Cave Booth at numerous charity events helping spread the word and helping out great causes. Speaking of spreading the word, we’ve continued our partnership with two great race teams, Chris and Allen Dowty and Cassie Gannis of Cassie Gannis Racing. We’ve made a lot of new contacts and have expanded our Man Cave Merchandise page with new and fun items. We look forward to another great year in 2012. None of this would be possible without your creativity and ingenuity with your Man Cave and allowing us to share it with others. A lot of you have gotten the opportunity to be part of numerous magazine, newspaper and online articles written about Man Caves. We expect to have many more opportunities this next year as well. Show Us Your Man Space

In the past few years, WOOD magazine has published several newsstand specials on home shops and garage makeovers. Now, we'd like to expand the concept by looking at man caves and spaces across the nation. We're on the lookout for all types of guy hangouts: Rec rooms, poker rooms, hobby areas, general-purpose garages and shops, hunting and fishing rooms, and other areas you’ve fixed up for your enjoyment.
If you'd like your man space, or a friend's, to be considered for national exposure in one of our upcoming publications, send us some photos. Please include a short description of what you use the space for, what you did to fix it up, and why it’s the perfect man space. If you documented the process through "before" and "after" photos, those would be excellent, too. Please send digital photos in .jpg format.
Even if we don't select your entire man space for publication, we're also looking for individual projects for the Gallery sections in our magazines.

Wanted Man Cave's in the North East ASAP!

Awhile back we were contacted in regards to Marriage Ref for NBC when we were searching for Man Caves. They are now doing a new show for HGTV starring Beth Stern (Or Beth O as Howard Stern fans know her). They are looking for husbands that want to give their wife a "MOM CAVE" in their home. They have to be willing to contribute 10k to the renovation (paid in two parts) which is also the minimum contribution for the show Man Cave on the DIY network. From there they create a $50,000 + room catered to the woman's style and taste. This could be a meditation room, art studio, craft room, luxury spa, walk in (dept store like) closet. Anything the wife could only dream about. If you may be interested.

"It's a great opportunity and I would love to see someone with an elaborate mancave finally give up some space for the woman in his life!! (: We are searching the New York tristate area and casting begins ASAP. Hope we can find some great members!!"

Installing a Wall Urinal

Your right Luke, they can be smelly if not maintained regulary. If a water source is available then I also would go with the traditional urinal. If water source isn't available, then this may be your only option.

Rags, another option is a Waterless urinal. You still need to be hooked up to sewer and have a vent, but there is no need for the water. Just a thought!

Color Schemes !

Not sure if this will help, but click the "host an image" button, once you upload the image, copy the URL that is listed. Then click on the "Image" button and paste the URL you copied earlier to this block. That should display your image (crossed fingers).

Haven't done this in a while so I hope this works.
